DR. SOLAR’S MEDICINE SHOW  3 X A DAY!

Dr. Solar is the GREENEST ACT available today. A proud participant of THE GREENEST SHOW ON EARTH. His self-contained 6′ X 18′ solar powered portable traveling family entertainment experience is a eco-friendly portable traveling children’s entertainment experience solar powered gypsy wagon affair that would make P.T. Barnum drool and features an Eco-Themed interactive show. 3 shows a day!

 

 

PLACER NATURE CENTER

Placer Nature Center offers activities and classes in wildlife, astronomy, reptiles, gardening, art, insects, ecology, watershed, natural & cultural history and much more for people of all ages! By giving children, of all ages, the opportunity to experience nature first hand, they learn about ecology, conservation and sustainable living while developing a sense of wonder, a growing imagination, problem-solving skills, and leadership abilities. Placer Nature Center also offers a series lectures for adults and families on a variety of fascinating subjects that effect our everyday lives and our envionment. ANDJRU

For the past 17 years Andjru has been devoted to creating experiences that enrich, inspire, educate and entertain. His music and dance program/assembly is active in numerous schools throughout Nevada City and Grass Valley as InDidjInUs Kids Music and Dance. As a musician, dancer and storyteller with a deep connection to Aboriginal Australia, Andjru’s intention is to generate confident, creative, and environmentally connected music makers, dreamers and dancers regardless of age or background. The joy of music is alive and well and he intends to move your soul with the ancient sounds of the didjeridu, percussion, song, dance and storytelling.

 



SIERRA STREAMS INSTITUTE

Kelly Hickman is the Education Coordinator at Sierra Streams Institute in Nevada City. She develops, manages, and teaches hands-on science education to youth throughout the county. After being raised in Irvine, CA she graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a B.S. in Marine Biology. She brings extensive laboratory, field, and teaching experience to Sierra Streams Institute. In the past, she has worked and volunteered with the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, UC Santa Cruz, Michigan State University, Tahoe Resource Conservation District, as well as Pretoma and Centro de Educación Creativa in Costa Rica. These various positions have taken her from the depths of the kelp forest to lakes in the high sierra and allowed her the opportunity to work among scientists, teachers, environmental managers, and students. In her free time she enjoys exploring the Sierra, cooking, and photography.


CORPORATE KIDS

The name doesn’t really fit – this is a fun, creative company that provides childcare for events.

Parents! Need Childcare? Enjoy speakers, workshops & vendors at the Green Life Eco Fest, knowing your children are being entertained & cared for by professionals! Drop them off and attend your event!

Green LIfe  Kid’s Club Sampling of  activities: Jewelry Design, Garden Crafts, A visit from the Worm Lady, Hand painted silk scarves., Watercolors & Sketching, Herb Planting projects, Making musical instruments, Seed bombs, Picture frames & portraits, Paper Mache! and Games.

Kid’s Club Schedule: Open Friday through Sunday

Friday Eve, June 22nd:      During the Greenlife Equinox dinner with SamabaDa! 6pm-9:00pm

Saturday June 23rd: 12pm-7pm

Sunday June 24th: 11:00am – 6:00pm

Rates:

  • $7.00/hr/child (Hours  purchased in advance)
  • $10/hr/child day of
  • $90/child unlimited 3 day pass
  • All art materials included. MEALS NOT included. Please provide your child with snack, meal & beverage.

Reservations & Cancellation Policy:

All prepaid reservations are non-refundable. We staff & purchase supplies based on # of children reserved.
