FRIDAY JUNE 22nd

FLAMENCO DEL ORO – Flamenco del Oro is a flamenco music and dance troupe with attitude and spirit delivering syncopated and sensual rhythms made with passionate guitar, intoxicating vocals, and fiery beautiful dancing. Core members are guitarist Gopal Slavonic, dancer Drea Pacot, percussionist Roger Aiton, and singer and dancer Kina Mendez.

SAMBA DA - Hybrid musical sounds informed by bloco afro (Afro-Brazilian percussion music), samba-reggae, surf-rock, and California funk. This smoldering and soldering band is a magnet of unexpected particles shaved from Brazilian and American sources.

SATURDAY JUNE 23rd

AndjruFor the past 17 years Andjru has been devoted to creating experiences that enrich, inspire, educate and entertain. His music and dance program/assembly is active in numerous schools throughout Nevada City and Grass Valley as InDidjInUs Kids Music and Dance. As a musician, dancer and storyteller with a deep connection to Aboriginal Australia, Andjru’s intention is to generate confident, creative, and environmentally connected music makers, dreamers and dancers regardless of age or background. The joy of music is alive and well and he intends to move your soul with the ancient sounds of the didjeridu, percussion, song, dance and storytelling.

Haute Trash - Fashion created out of trash, made to empower, educate and entertain people into re-using, re-thinking and recycling.

Beaucoup Chapeaux - From a beautiful river blessed area of Northeastern California, Beaucoup Chapeaux’s music is richly arranged and performed on piano accordion, violin, oboe, English horn, tenor guitar, banjo, dobro, clarinet, bass clarinet, saxophone, flute, piccolo, and voice. “Maggie McKaig and Luke Wilson are two of the finest musicians, singers, and songwriters performing today.” –Utah Phillips.

The Earls of Newtown - Earles of Newtown is an acoustic eight piece multi generational band. Our music focus is around Dixieland and Swing music that was popular in the 1920′s. Our music styles range from original Jazz compositions to 20′s Swing Era standards such as Al Bowlly to Bob Wills and Hank Williams. Our music has the tendency to invoke dancing .

Virgil Shaw – Mr. Shaw gets his extroverted waltzes and rockers from a honky-tonk somewhere in the “wilderness of this world” that he sings about in his cracked voice. It’s a place where the mystic Americana of the Band meets Mr. Shaw’s own surreal tales and hard-luck images.” The New York Times

SATURDAY JUNE 24th

Whild Notes – is James Carlson mandolin and guitar. Al Ferguson banjo. and Allen Rogers gut bucket bass. The band is an off shoot from Ragged but Right, where as the name says we try a bit more freedom in our expression, also a few more of James’ original songs and of course Als great banjo playing and skin head drumming all tied together with the crazy dixieland thump drone of Allen.

Justin Ancheta – Hailing from San Francisco, California, Justin Ancheta is a music making, social changing, conscious spreading, teacher and artist. His eclectic style of reggae flavored indie-rock, funk and jazz is a down-to-earth and moving music with lyrics that reveal his passion for community, awareness, and change. Their over all feel to me was more in time with jazz and blues, rich in feeling and texture.” Ana Marie Soutela – CA bands.com
